This summer/spring, white is illuminating the runway. This trend is going beyond the classic white jean or summer cotton dress; designers have created a wonderful array of crisp suits, sheer summer slips, oversized jumpsuits, geometric separates, and classic tailored pieces all in beautiful hues of white.

The eccentric self-taught fashion stylist, Rachel Zoe, became famous for her impeccable taste and work with celebrities in Hollywood. In 2008 her show, The Rachel Zoe Project, aired on Bravo further launching her career in the world of fashion. Her client list is seemingly endless: Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, Anne Hathaway, Nicole Richie, and Lindsay Lohan just to name a few. No one else displays as much perseverance and work-ethic as Rachel Zoe does within her industry: besides her work with Bravo and private clients, she has collaborated and consulted with Gap, Piperlime, and Judith Leiber, and authored a book entitled Style A to Zoe: The Art of Fashion, Beauty and Everything Glamour. 

Her most recent undertaking is probably her most proud accomplishment and dream: her very own clothing line. Zoe took timeless pieces of the 60s and 70s including, tuxedo pants, tailored blazers, maxi skirts, and statement blouses, and infused them with some modernity. She was said to be inspired by famous icons such as Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithfull. Her Spring 2012 collection is an array of stunning silhouettes, bold color, tailored masterpieces, and feminine flare. of...Rejuvenation.

Spring Break marks the transitional week between the never-ending winter days (or in our case, sprinter days) and the longingly awaited for days of sunshine. When we reunite with our friends we come back with more than just tan-lines and hilarious stories; we come back refreshed, rejuvenated, and seemingly reinvented for the upcoming months. With a little more skip in our step, we swap chunky knit scarves for tinted aviators, black leather boots for tan boat shoes, and heavy down jackets for light casual blazers. I fall in love with this week; I seize the opportunity to  revamp my tired winter wardrobe with some vibrant colors, to throw on my Ray- Bans, and to feel the cool breeze whip my hair back. Kicking off the sandals to walk barefoot through soft green grass and watching the sun go down in soft hues of yellow and blue remind us all how much closer we are to the already highly anticipated summer days.
