of...Layering.

Every morning I have a general routine before I start getting dressed; wake up, shower, make coffee, and check weather.com. To my horror, this morning, an alert appeared on the screen in bold frightening red lettering: "FROST ADVISORY."

I'm sorry, what?

It is only October 12th. Alas, I glumly entered my closet and thumbed through my clothing, hoping to find some sort of inspiration. And then, it came to me.

 Layering

I would be able to fight off this frost fashionably after all. Triumphantly, I pulled a cream oversized popcorn sweater  and long silk button down dress off their hangers. Slipping those on, I paired my favorite leggings underneath, grabbed some knee-high socks, and pulled on my Frye Leslie booties. To finish the look, I grabbed my black American Apparel circle scarf and whipped my hair up in a spunky ponytail.

As I walked outside to catch the bus, I smiled to myself--I was incredibly warm and still fashionable.
